School Holiday Fun

In the September School Holidays my parents came for a visit, we tried to do things which we had not done before. The weather was pretty bleek so the beach was out, we found some fun things to do on the Gold Coast and even in Brisbane that were free. I love a free activity.

Food is always top of the list when Grandparents visit and Pancakes on the Rocks was a must. This was my breakfast, Chocolate Pancakes.
Josephine introduced herself to meat pies and BBQ sauce.


Currumbin Wildlife Park every day between 4pm - 5pm do bird feeding you just pay a donation for a plate. Monique waited so patiently for the birds to come. Poppy waited and waited and then decided that holding a snake was much more exciting. Wish I got a picture of that. Poppy is scared of bugs and spiders, she has even been known to freak out about a fly in the bath.




Monique wanted to celebrate her birthday by going to the GoMA in Brisbane, she is so cultured. Not sure where she gets that from, but I will claim that as my trait. It makes you less 'Bogan' if you go to art Galleries.


Brisbane Festival was on and the chinese lanterns were beautiful

I have finally found some time to post, last friday we welcomed the arrival of Josephine Adelaide , you might know her as 'Sunny'. Weight 3095 Date of Birth 2/12/2011 Length: 50cm She is so lovely and we are so glad to have her with us finally. What a long road. As I have time I will continue to write about my girls and what it was like to be 37 weeks pregnant and then to actually deliver her and bring her home. One Angel Prince

I started to blog when a became pregnant with Riley and now, it is one of the few things i have to remember him by. We lost our darling little boy on 16th February 2010 at 31 weeks. I had a feeling that something was not right, that he hadn't moved much in the days leading up to his arrival so called the hospital and was told to come straight in to get checked out. I was concerned but thought that everything would be OK. Riley didn't move much or maybe is was that i'm always so busy that i only ever noticed it at night when i went to bed. When i was pregnant with the girls; we would see feet sticking out, so clearly that you could count their toes. This never happened with Riley and I put it down to being a different baby, he never really bothered me much at all. I was much less sick with Riley then i was with the girls that is for sure. Sunny Days - The Arrival

So before I forget in my haze of lack of sleep I want to go back to the 2nd of December and remember the birth of Josephine. It was pretty much like the other kids in regards to how long it was and the pain. Why oh why do we keep going back for more. It is only when that pain hits again that you actually remember what it was like. For me it is usually at this point when I start to beg for pain relief. They reassure me that I'm nearly there and can only give me gas which does nothing but make me want to vomit. Let me start back on the 1st December when we had an appointment with Prof, I took backup with me I was ready for him to go back on his promise that our goal was to get to 37 weeks. The back up was more to console me when he told me 'Lets just try for another week'. I was so thankful when he said lets do an internal and see where we are at and discuss the plan to bring this baby into the world.
