Things I'm grateful for

Christmas being only two sleeps away I want to reflect on the many things which I'm grateful for.

I'm grateful for my children, that I have been blessed with four children which make me the mother and woman that I am. Without my kids I wouldn't be who I am and my life would be so different I can't even imagine what it would be like. Even when things seem tough all I have to do is look at my kids and know how lucky I am.

I'm grateful for my husband that does everything to make my life easy, to provide for us as a family and gives me the opportunity to spend my time doing what I love the most. Dave supports my decisions to work for a charity, he supports me when I spend more then my budget, he support my parenting  and he makes me laugh when he laughs at his own jokes. We have been together 15 years and I look forward to being old and looking back on our life together.

I'm grateful to my parents which always want the best for me and as much as it pains them that we live in another state, support us that we know what we are doing is right for our family.

I'm grateful to my friends which have provided endless support to get through this last two years and love that no matter what happens will always be on the other end of the phone. I'm grateful that they can see the funny side of life and can joke with me even if it is at my own expense.  The jokes about putting my purple eye shadow above my eyes not below have made my day.

I'm grateful that I'm part of a big family and have married into a big family.

I'm grateful that I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, since having Josephine we have had such wonderful support of meals and help with the kids from people at church. It has been really interesting to see people come to my door to deliver a meal and they don't know me or don't know why they are delivering a meal to our family. They just do it, as they know that there is someone else in need. I hope that I too can give this same service to people that has been given to us.

I have finally found some time to post, last friday we welcomed the arrival of Josephine Adelaide , you might know her as 'Sunny'. Weight 3095 Date of Birth 2/12/2011 Length: 50cm She is so lovely and we are so glad to have her with us finally. What a long road. As I have time I will continue to write about my girls and what it was like to be 37 weeks pregnant and then to actually deliver her and bring her home. One Angel Prince

I started to blog when a became pregnant with Riley and now, it is one of the few things i have to remember him by. We lost our darling little boy on 16th February 2010 at 31 weeks. I had a feeling that something was not right, that he hadn't moved much in the days leading up to his arrival so called the hospital and was told to come straight in to get checked out. I was concerned but thought that everything would be OK. Riley didn't move much or maybe is was that i'm always so busy that i only ever noticed it at night when i went to bed. When i was pregnant with the girls; we would see feet sticking out, so clearly that you could count their toes. This never happened with Riley and I put it down to being a different baby, he never really bothered me much at all. I was much less sick with Riley then i was with the girls that is for sure. Sunny Days - The Arrival

So before I forget in my haze of lack of sleep I want to go back to the 2nd of December and remember the birth of Josephine. It was pretty much like the other kids in regards to how long it was and the pain. Why oh why do we keep going back for more. It is only when that pain hits again that you actually remember what it was like. For me it is usually at this point when I start to beg for pain relief. They reassure me that I'm nearly there and can only give me gas which does nothing but make me want to vomit. Let me start back on the 1st December when we had an appointment with Prof, I took backup with me I was ready for him to go back on his promise that our goal was to get to 37 weeks. The back up was more to console me when he told me 'Lets just try for another week'. I was so thankful when he said lets do an internal and see where we are at and discuss the plan to bring this baby into the world.
