Add Hairdresser to my list of talents


It is so hard to get to the hairdresses and so expensive. I have got three girls which are going to need their hair trimmed for the next 15 years at least whilst they are living under my roof. In my quest to save a dollar and make my life a little easier I gave Monique her first home hair cut.

Not bad I think I can add Home Hairdresser to my list of talents.

    It looks great! I started cutting my brother's hair as a teenager and am so glad I learnt how to, as I'm sure it's saved me thousands over the years as I cut my own boys.

    Ooh, nice! I love the layered fringe, great job :)
    I cut the girls hair too, nothing too fancy though. Wish I could cut mine too, it's been over a year since I had it cut!

I started to blog when a became pregnant with Riley and now, it is one of the few things i have to remember him by. We lost our darling little boy on 16th February 2010 at 31 weeks. I had a feeling that something was not right, that he hadn't moved much in the days leading up to his arrival so called the hospital and was told to come straight in to get checked out. I was concerned but thought that everything would be OK. Riley didn't move much or maybe is was that i'm always so busy that i only ever noticed it at night when i went to bed. Josephine Adelaide Arrives

I have finally found some time to post, last friday we welcomed the arrival of Josephine Adelaide , you might know her as 'Sunny'. Weight 3095 Date of Birth 2/12/2011 Length: 50cm She is so lovely and we are so glad to have her with us finally. What a long road. As I have time I will continue to write about my girls and what it was like to be 37 weeks pregnant and then to actually deliver her and bring her home. The anticpation and emotions are something which I don't want to ever forget. Here are some Pictures of our beautiful girl.

 An open letter to all As October marks International Pregnancy and Infant loss month it is time for many families to reflect on the impact one little soul has had on their lives even if it has been for such a short time.  In 2010 we were awaiting the arrival of our third baby, our first boy. On the day that we found out Riley was a boy; my husband had a spring in his step as he planned our son’s future sporting career and when would be a good time to retire from local club footy to take on a coaching role. We were so excited and never ever did we expect that our only son would never get to come home with us.
